Making sure your DC plan is well run, competitive and fit for purpose involves good governance.
With the pensions world constantly changing, good training is essential. The governance and administration of occupational DC trust based schemes are now governed by The Pensions Regulator’s DC Code which is underpinned by a number of DC quality features that describe the activities, behaviours and control processes that are more likely to deliver good member outcomes. The Code applies to all money purchase benefits, including additional voluntary contributions (AVCs) under occupational defined benefit (DB) trust based schemes.
Although contract based schemes are not governed by the Code, with regard to company stewardship, good governance through a Pension Management Committee (PMC) can help in managing the corporate risks and costs associated with pensions and wider employee benefits.
Our interactive courses are aimed at both trustees of trust based DC schemes and those involved with the governance and management of contract based DC schemes, for example, either through a PMC or in their role within HR and Finance. Attendees will be provided with worked examples in order to help reinforce their learning, and small (and appropriate!) tests will occur throughout each session, so that attendees can receive not only a Certificate of Attendance, but Certificate of Achievement too.
